WHAT IS POSTNATAL CARE?

Postnatal care aims to improve the health of the mother and newborn by providing a postnatal recovery program such as postpartum exercises and pelvic floor muscle exercises ( or Kegel exercises ).

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO DO POSTPARTUM EXERCISES?

  • Normal delivery

  • As long as the bleeding stops completely, usually after 2-3 weeks of delivery.

  • Cesarean section

  • After 6 weeks of complete bed rest.
